Rapid development in global business and its impact on India's domestic market call for a professional approach and sensitivity to international business environment. Students should note: As per Order No. F.17- 8/2002-TS.1 dated 17th June 2004 by Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India:

The admission to the MBA/ PGDBM/MHA/MMA (or equivalent) programmes for the year 2006—2008, shall be through one of the five (5) national entrance tests, namely- CAT (conducted by IIMs), JEMET ( conducted by IITs), MAT (conducted by AIMA), ATMA (conducted by AIMS) and XAT (conducted by XLRI) or through JEMAT in any of the institutions of West Bengal .

The minimum qualification for admission to MBA / PGDBM / MHA / MMA (or equivalent) programmes is a Bachelor’s Degree (10+2+3) in Arts / Science / Commerce / Engineering / Technology / Medical / Dental / Agriculture or other professional courses from recognized Indian Universities.

It may be noted that, eligibility criteria may differ from one Institution to another Institution.

The application form can be filled up and submitted online through this website. Alternatively, the application form could be downloaded and submitted to the University Office along with a DD of Rs 700.00 / 350.00 for SC/ST (without late fine) and Rs 900.00 / 450.00 for SC/ST (with late fine) in favour of WBUT-JEMAT payable at Kolkata and two copies of passport size photograph duly signed and mentioning D.D. No. on the back. Candidates applying online should send the DD and photographs to the University Office. Forms not properly filled up shall be cancelled.

The JEMAT written test will be of objective type consisting of four sections of 3 hour durations ( 10 a.m. to 1 p.m ) as detailed below:
